The Clay County Commission voted Thursday to approve a consent agenda that included 154 county invoices totaling $554,537.78 and the parks department purchase of a John Deere 331P-tier skid steer, trading in an older John Deere and reducing the purchase price from $84,750 to $73,000.
The consent agenda was moved by Commissioner Johnson, and passed on a 6-0 roll call vote. County staff described the consent agenda as routine items pre-reviewed by the commission and said individual items could be pulled for separate discussion if a commissioner requested.
The commission separately approved seven invoices for the prosecutor's office covering the period July 5 to July (period listed in materials) totaling $2,771.94. Commissioner Johnson moved the prosecutor-office invoice approval; the roll call showed five votes in favor and one recusal, and the motion passed, according to the clerk's call of the roll.
During the consent discussion, county staff told commissioners the invoice batch covers the period July 5 to July 11 and that the skid-steer purchase will include the trade-in credit. No commissioner asked to remove items from the consent agenda for separate consideration.
Ending: The commission took the actions during its regular meeting and moved on to other agenda items after the clerk announced the motions had passed.
