GREELEY, Colo. — At the July 16 Greeley Water and Sewer Board meeting staff announced a series of internal promotions and new hires. The item was informational and required no board action.
Staff said Ben Schafer has moved from a limited-term assignment to a permanent water conservation coordinator role after filling in during the utility-billing replacement project. Jared Wydic and Martin Medina were reassigned or promoted into field positions (utility locators and maintenance tech). New hires include Zeke Havard, a civil engineer 1 who relocated from Texas. Staff emphasized the hires replace vacant positions and fill critical roles on maintenance and operations teams.
Board members acknowledged the hires; the announcement concluded with staff noting the positions were funded within the existing personnel plan and that the department will report any follow-up regarding staffing as needed.
