CORYELL COUNTY, Texas — The Coryell County Commissioners Court approved two land-development items Thursday: a Tier 2 plat for Rock Creek Road Subdivision and an exception to plat for property ID 153664.
County planner Mannix described the Rock Creek Road subdivision as a Tier 2 development consisting of three lots averaging about 1.4 acres each along Rock Creek Road off Old Oak Sage Road. Mannix said the applicant provided a 25-foot right-of-way from the centerline across the front of the property and included on-site sewage facility (OSSF) setbacks as required by county regulations. Commissioner Basham moved to accept the plat; Commissioner Taylor seconded and the court approved the plat.
On a separate item, Mannix described an exception-to-plat request for property ID 153664. The owner had sold two acres out of a five-acre tract without platting; the sale unintentionally included an in-law family transaction rather than a proposed single-family transfer. Mannix said the applicant had addressed checklist items and recommended approval. Commissioner Basham moved to grant the exception; Commissioner Taylor seconded and the court approved the exception.
Both motions passed on voice votes with no roll-call tallies recorded in the transcript.
