Superintendent Dr. Langford introduced a restructured instruction team led by Miss Skinner and four directors who walked the board through high school outcomes, CTE metrics, AP success, literacy initiatives and staffing/recruitment efforts. Presenters stressed that each statistic represents individual students and staff effort.
Highlights staff presented included: $70,700,000 in scholarships awarded to graduates last year (an increase of nearly $7 million from two years earlier); 373 students scoring a 30 or above on college entrance testing cited by presenters as an indicator of expanded opportunity; a district graduation rate noted during the presentation above 95% (presenters cited 97.5% and compared it to earlier figures); and record highs in CTE measures: more…
