Committee asks staff to attach ARs to policies on website so public can find administrative regulations

Committee members discussed three ways to make administrative regulations (ARs) easier to find on the district's website: (1) the current drop-down box that separates policies and ARs; (2) listing ARs in a sidebar next to policies; or (3) linking an AR directly at the bottom of its associated policy. Staff and committee members favored the third option and directed staff to attach AR hyperlinks at the bottom of policies on BoardDocs so users see immediately when an AR exists.
Staff said the change does not require board action and can be implemented administratively; they noted the update would improve public access and reduce confusion about where procedural rules live. Members also asked staff to report the change in the committee report after implementation.
