Camden Cox, the student council corresponding secretary, presented the council’s activity calendar and homecoming plans to the board. Cox introduced the executive board, recapped recent volunteer work at locker nights and a senior-sunrise event, and outlined the homecoming timeline.
Key dates and activities announced: powder puff game Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.; assembly practice following the game; school assembly and a parade on Friday, Sept. 12 at 4:15 p.m.; and the homecoming dance Saturday, Sept. 13 from 8 to 11 p.m. Cox said the homecoming theme will be “Night on the Bayou,” with school colors purple, green and gold, and cited inspiration from The Princess and the Frog.
Students were invited to take photos in front of the building after the recognition portion of the meeting. The student council presentation was added to the agenda to allow the representative to speak.
