A district presenter described five available bays at the Hawthorne site and said the nonprofit could rent as many as two bays at $150 per bay per month; rent would be charged quarterly and tenants would pay their portion of utilities. The presenter said the district is not using the space and plans to eventually sell the property, but that leasing it in the interim would put the space to community use.
Board members asked whether the structure was sound and whether tenants were familiar with the property; staff responded that the group had toured the space and were aware of its condition. The lease was approved by voice vote.
