Board OKs amendment allowing on-site merchandise sales at Greenwood Amphitheater event

The Greenwood Parks and Recreation Board voted Aug. 1 to approve an amendment to the use agreement with Refuge for an event at Greenwood Amphitheater that extends setup time and permits on-site sale of T-shirts. During the discussion staff read changes into the record, and the board approved the amended use agreement. A resident, Carrie Carmichael, identified herself during public comment and asked whether on-site T-shirt sales bearing the event logo would be allowed for attendees who had not preordered. The board confirmed on-site sales would be permitted and approved the amendment. Board members said the extended hours would give vendors additional setup time. Staff and board members repeatedly emphasized that vendors often arrive early for setup. The motion to approve the amendment was made, seconded and carried by voice vote. Board members asked staff to note the request and to ensure vendors understand the approved hours and any vendor rules; staff agreed to communicate with the event organizers about merchant logistics.
