Sheriff’s taser service contract approved; commissioners sign off on routine interlocal and data agreements

Sheriff Allison told commissioners the department needs a new five‑year contract for taser devices and associated service and litigation support. The sheriff said the contract cost rose by $2,000 from budgeted projections and that the council would handle the additional amount; commissioners approved the contract by voice vote. Sheriff Allison said the vendor will guarantee maintenance for five years and provide litigation support related to deployments. The department noted cartridges are single‑use and that maintenance/after‑deployment costs are part of the service agreement. Commissioners also acknowledged two previously approved sheriff contracts that had been completed with agreeable language and accepted execution of those documents. Separately, the board approved the annual interlocal agreement with the City of Washington for emergency management services (city pays $6,000 annually) and approved a WTH/CoreLogic electronic mapping data application agreement allowing WTH to manage data‑release requests on the county’s behalf. The approvals were all routine voice votes; commissioners recorded motions and seconds and each motion passed.
