Board member: resolution booklet on SharePoint; Sept. 15 deadline to submit for state convention

At a meeting of the Board of Education committee of the whole, board member Lassner said the "Lassner resolution on booklet is available, on the Board of Education SharePoint site for review" and that board members have until Sept. 15 to submit resolutions that will be voted on at the Wisconsin State Education Convention in January.

The resolution booklet and the submission deadline were presented as the primary administrative item during the public portion of the meeting. Lassner said, "If board members want to make, any edits or, any addendums to the resolution, we have until September 15 until you submit your resolution, which will then be voted on at the Wisconsin State, Education Convention in January." Natalie, vice president, acknowledged the announcement and no further questions were recorded before the meeting moved on.

The matter concerns the district's participation in the Wisconsin Association of School Boards' (WASB) convention process, where member districts submit resolutions that may be adopted as association positions and then considered at the statewide meeting. The meeting record does not specify how many resolutions are included in the booklet, the text of any individual resolution, or which, if any, board members plan to submit edits or additional resolutions.

The committee took no formal votes on individual resolutions during the meeting; members were given the deadline to make edits and submit documents through the Board of Education's SharePoint site.
