St. Lucie School Board adopts 2025–26 student code of conduct, 5-0

The School Board of St. Lucie County voted 5-0 Aug. 12 to adopt the proposed 2025-26 student code of conduct following a public hearing at which no members of the public spoke. Superintendent Dr. Prince recommended adoption, saying, "I recommend the board of adopt the proposed 20 25 26 student code of conduct." Board member Ingersoll moved the motion and Board member Harrison seconded; the board responded "Aye" and the chair declared, "That motion carries 5 0." The public hearing was opened for comments before the vote; no one in the audience requested to speak. The board did not request additional staff reports or substantive amendments during the hearing. The adoption formalizes the district's disciplinary and conduct rules for the 2025-26 school year. The board did not add conditions or direct staff to study changes; the superintendent's recommendation was accepted as presented. The board moved on to other business immediately after the vote.
