The Corte Madera Town Council unanimously appointed Andy Rogers to the Planning Commission on Aug. 5 following a brief, public interview. Rogers told the council he has lived in Corte Madera for 15 years, has architectural and real‑estate development training and five years of experience in the nonprofit affordable‑housing sector. He said he has worked with the town planning staff and would recuse himself from decisions involving his clients.
Council members moved and seconded the nomination during a public meeting; the roll call vote recorded all five members as “yes.” Rogers said he would step aside on any matter involving a client and welcomed guidance from the town on conflict‑of‑interest rules.
The appointment fills a single vacancy on the Planning Commission.
