The official said Prairie State Legal Services used to provide a monthly one- or two-hour lawyers-in-the-library clinic in Rockford and that two local attorneys, Ryan Shaner and Abigail Edris, have expressed interest in helping restart the program. "We are gonna try to work on with funds from this grant to do that," the official said.
Committee members asked for additional details and budget specifics; the presenter suggested discussing the program at the next meeting with the formal grant paperwork and outreach plan available for review.
