Council approves two Class C wine licenses and waives open-intoxicants prohibition for downtown event

The City Council unanimously approved two Class C wine licenses and a resolution waiving the city's prohibition on possession of alcoholic beverages on Sheboygan Street for an upcoming event.
City Clerk Miss Hefter introduced applications for Class C wine licenses for Noel's Touch Aesthetics LLC (agent Noel Deibert) at 42 North Main Street and Twisted Warrior LLC (agent Lucille Mathers) for Twisted Warrior Yoga Studio at 15 North Main Street, third floor. The clerk reported background checks were completed and city staff and the alcohol license committee recommended approval. Councilors moved and seconded approval for each license and both motions passed unanimously.
The council also approved Resolution No. 9199 authorizing a waiver of the prohibition against possession of alcoholic beverages on Sheboygan Street for Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s member-appreciation event on Sept. 4, 2025. The clerk said the approved special-event application included conditions: no glass containers or carry-ins in the designated area, and signage and barricades will indicate the private-event footprint. The city staff recommended approval and the motion to adopt the waiver passed unanimously.
Discussion vs. decision: staff presented background checks and recommended approval; council moved, seconded and unanimously approved the licenses and the event-waiver resolution in formal votes.
