District reports $27 million in summer facilities work; high school and elementary projects highlighted

District facilities leaders reported a busy summer of maintenance and construction — roughly $27 million in projects managed — including gym HVAC installs at the high school, library renovations, tennis court resurfacing and multiple flooring and cooler repairs across elementary and middle schools.
Sam Hoy, the district’s facilities lead, presented a summary of summer construction and maintenance work on Aug. 7 and said this year’s work represented the largest property‑services dollar amount he has managed in a 12‑month period.
Hoy said the district managed approximately $27 million in projects districtwide, including both Liberty Curtain construction and other property services.
