York County public commenter urges strict immigration enforcement, ties remarks to voter-integrity concerns

During the public-comment period at the York County Board of Commissioners meeting, Miss Paul of the city of York said she is "very passionate about voter integrity, election integrity" and urged removal of undocumented immigrants from the county and that they not be allowed to vote.

Miss Paul referenced remarks she attributed to political strategist James Carville and local reporting. She said, quoting the comment she attributed to Carville, that Pennsylvania "has Philadelphia on one side, Pittsburgh on the other, and Alabama in the middle," and referred to the term "Pensiltucky" as used by a local reporter, Mark Argento of the York Daily Record, in her characterization. "It is important that when we have immigrants here, they are legal immigrants," she said. "When you stand to the right hand side of Bill Clinton... you do have a lot of power long after you're out of the White House," she added while discussing political influence and demographics.

Miss Paul called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to "come here and take every single alien, illegal immigrant from this place and not allow them to vote," and said she was invoking her right to free speech to press the issue. The Board did not record a response or action in reaction to the public comment; the meeting moved on after the comment period.
