MLK Recreation Center contract change orders produce small net deduction; commission approves

The City Commission approved change orders for the MLK Recreation Center construction contract on July 22 that produced a net deduction to the original stipulated sum. Staff told the Commission that the contract with Burke Construction for the MLK project had produced several additive and deductive adjustments during construction; the aggregated effect for the federal and non‑federal portions was a total deduction of $123.32 to the original stipulated sum.
