Fillmore unveils new GIS public viewer and internal mapping tools to help staff and residents locate zoning, utilities and public services

The Fillmore City Council on Aug. 12 was shown the city’s new geographic information system (GIS) tools, including a public web viewer that will let residents look up parcel data, zoning, assessment districts, bus routes, flood and fire maps, street-sweeping schedules and other local layers. Jacob Cholker, planning technician, said the system uses Esri software and professional services from Pro West and Associates and that staff will bring the public viewer online after an internal review.
