The board approved a proposal to replace BoardBook with Diligent Community software for meeting materials and governance work. Administration staff and IT personnel demonstrated the product and reported that it is user-friendly and integrates with the district website.
"The program is very user friendly. It is, I think, it's gonna allow us to really do some things that we aren't able to do with BoardBook," said Laurie, who presented the demonstration and summarized IT feedback. Jessica from the IT department joined the demonstration and indicated that the new product would be easier for the IT team to support.
The finance and facilities committee reviewed the proposal and unanimously recommended adoption. The board approved the contract in a voice vote.
Board members urged staff to provide training; one trustee said he was relieved to have Laurie lead the rollout. The administration will finalize deployment and training schedules and onboard the board to the new system before regular use.
