District, ESP union agree to memorandum adjusting job categories; MOA to go to full board

The MOA lists job titles and category changes that staff said reflect workload comparisons and recent position changes. Brian (district staff) summarized the MOA items and enumerated positions included by title: assessment accommodations, administrative assistant, PowerSchool specialist and an accounts payable recategorization. "We're entering year two of the three‑year collective bargaining agreement with our educational support professionals... our recommendation is to move ahead with this MOA," Brian told the committee.
A committee member observed that the packet included the MOA but not extended job descriptions; Brian confirmed the jobs are listed in the MOA but that full position descriptions are not included in the committee packet. Staff said the MOA will be placed on the full board consent agenda for the August meeting.
No formal committee vote was recorded; the MOA will return to the full board for action.
