Reed told the panel he was asleep when police arrived at the cited incident and acknowledged he had prior domestic incidents. A family member and his partner said Reed had primarily been working and trying to improve his life, but also acknowledged past calls to police. Panel members reviewed Reed’s record, including multiple prior domestic-abuse arrests and a positive cocaine screen in 2024.
Panel members agreed Reed needed substance-abuse and domestic-violence treatment in a secure facility before further consideration of release. The board’s recommendation included placement in a DOC facility that provides treatment services and counseling.
The panel recorded the revocation vote and detailed follow-up instructions for DOC and probation staff to place Reed where treatment is available.
