Commissioners emphasized that approved replacements should match the visible proportions and sightlines from the public way; staff and commissioners discussed using slimline sash profiles where appropriate so the street facade remains visually consistent with the historic streetscape. No additional exterior alterations were requested in tonight’s approval.
The motion to approve carried unanimously (recorded votes: Commissioner Paul K., yes; Commissioner Bolt, yes; Commissioner Walsh, yes; Commissioner Desport, yes). The commission asked the applicant to return to staff if the contractor cannot supply the approved color or profiles so the commission can consider alternatives.
