Corrections discusses Trinity meal contract increase and $91,700 Ecology grant for work crews

Fox also described a two-year Department of Ecology grant that reimburses work-crew operations: "This is a 2 year cycle, so it's a max of reimbursement of $91,700 from a department of ecology," he said. He said the county continues to run out-of-custody work crews in lieu of out-of-custody sentenced crews, because of the countys current in-custody population mix.
Commissioners asked for details about the sliding scale breakpoints and juvenile reimbursement rules; Fox said he would provide more detail at the next meeting. No formal contract awards or grant acceptance votes were recorded in the briefing; the items appear on the agenda for formal action.
