Planning commission rescinds approval for resurvey of former police station site, citing companion rezoning inaction

The Homewood Planning Commission on Aug. 5 voted 6-0 to rescind its July 8 approval of case RS25‑07‑04, which had proposed a resurvey and subdivision of the former Homewood Police Station property into two lots to facilitate redevelopment. The commission cited the city council's decision not to act on a companion rezoning and the absence of a contract on the property.

A commissioner noted, “there's no more contract on the property,” and moved to rescind the prior approval.
