On Aug. 11 the Homewood City Council approved a request allowing work within the right-of-way at 841 Sylvia Drive to restore an existing stone wall, contingent on the execution of an indemnification agreement. Councilor Wolverton reported the Public Works committee had met and voted 5-0 to recommend approval "pending the proper indemnification agreement," and the council approved the resolution 10-0. Committee members said the wall had been on the property "for quite some time," and staff indicated standard indemnification language would be required before field work begins. The council recorded the action as resolution 205-1137.
