Envision Unlimited to offer weekly mental-health workshops in Dalton starting Aug. 12

Angela Russell, representing Envision Unlimited Cultural Faith Based Empowerment Mental Health Program, told the Village of Dalton board on Aug. 4 that the group will begin weekly mental health workshops and trainings at the village resource hub starting Aug. 12.
Russell said the program will provide workshops and trainings at the Village Hall address; Trustee Kiana Belcher clarified that the resource hub is located in the village's old water department building but will be posted using the Village Hall address. Belcher also said Envision Unlimited is the first resource partner in the resource hub initiative; scheduled times and further information will be posted on the village website and distributed by flyers.
Trustees and staff thanked Russell and noted earlier collaborations for youth services. Russell said the workshops and trainings will be available weekly at the stated location beginning Aug. 12 and that more information will be shared via village communications.
No formal action or funding appropriation was taken at the meeting; the announcement was an informational presentation about a community resource partnership.
