Board members voted unanimously to approve an amendment to the superintendent's administrative contract and later approved a superintendent contract described in the motion as effective Aug. 1, 2026. The motion as read in the meeting recorded the contract term as through "08/31/3031"; the board approved the contract as presented. The board also approved a separate shared resource center contract effective Aug. 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026.
The board approved three high-school-level courses the administration recommended for adoption: Advanced Placement Business Principles and Personal Finance, Foundations of Business, and Personal Finance. The board also approved a resolution to "declare transportation to be impractical for certain identified students," presented pursuant to the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code Section 3327 and Department of Education procedures.
A bundled motion covering personnel items (listed in the agenda as items 9 a through o) passed by roll call. The bundle included summer seasonal worker appointments, the employment of tutors and administrative assistants, revisions to full-time-equivalent assignments, exempt employee contracts and administrative amendments, supplemental contracts and volunteers, and multiple onboarding or transition-time approvals. The board announced it would not go into executive session and adjourned the meeting.
The approvals were taken by individual motions and roll-call votes recorded in the meeting transcript; votes on the listed motions were recorded as unanimous "Aye."
