Staff recommended purchasing the equipment and professional services from Corporate Technology Solutions under a state contract for an amount not to exceed $63,857.11. Council discussion included a light exchange about audio volume and when the chambers were last upgraded; staff said the video components predated current council members.
A councilmember moved to authorize the purchase and the motion was seconded by Councilman Whipple. The motion passed unanimously.
The purchase is a capital/operations upgrade; the council did not direct additional study or alternatives at the meeting.
