Mesquite awards $1.64 million contract to replace ADA ramps on Mesquite and Sand Hill boulevards

The Mesquite City Council on Aug. 12 approved a notice of award to Melee Incorporated (doing business as Melee Concrete) for replacement of Americans with Disabilities Act ramps on Mesquite Boulevard and Sand Hill Boulevard between exits 120 and 122. Public Works Director Travis told the council the sealed‑bid opening on July 22 produced five bids between $1.6 million and $2.4 million; Melee Concrete was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder at $1,640,012.
