Lincoln Middle students report educational trip to Washington, D.C., and New York

Teacher Bridget Nelson introduced students who shared highlights such as seeing monuments and museums and experiencing urban environments unfamiliar to many students from Green River. Students said fundraising provided a sense of ownership of the trip.
Nelson presented a three-minute video with highlights and told trustees the trip strengthens studentsconnections to course content and fosters lasting relationships between peers and adult chaperones. She said the trips are not district-sponsored but have received district support in the past through use of school facilities and assistance with fundraising communications.
Trustees thanked the teacher and students for the presentation and expressed support for continuing student travel opportunities.
