"We did have a bid opening," facilities staff member Doug Hamill told the board, reporting the capital facilities committee recommended the Contract Equipment Operators bid. Trustees moved and approved the contract by voice vote.
Trustees asked for confirmation that the fence meets required specifications for livestock and horses. Hamill said the bid specifies a number 9 gauge fence at 6 feet in height and that the district has discussed specifications with the vendor. A trustee clarified that payment will be made after the project is completed; Hamill confirmed that payment is not due until the project is done.
The motion carried by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript. Trustees said they preferred a lower bid when specifications are met and the contractor has agreed to the specification conversations recorded in the meeting.
