"This audit accomplishes a few things for the district. Number one, it serves as our cash audit for the end of the FY25 school year. It sets our millage rate and our district valuation, which grew another 6% from the previous year," said Ms. Enuf, a district staff member who presented the estimate. She told the board the valuation growth reflects continued development across the business and housing community.
The motion to approve was seconded and approved on a roll-call vote: Dr. Williams, Mrs. Taylor, Dr. Brandy Roulette, Mr. John Cockrell and Mr. Allen voted yes.
Discussion vs. decision: staff presented the estimate as a routine, required audit and budget-setting step; the board approved forwarding the document to the County Excise Board.
