County planning staff presented budget amendments and a request to authorize an amendment to a consulting contract for flood permitting and programmatic permitting work related to the Main Street Bridge and dredging studies.

Staff explained several previously unbudgeted grants and projects had begun after the budget was finalized and recommended adjustments. The planner requested authorization to spend up to $5,000 with White Plus/White Gloves Consulting for additional permitting and programmatic pre‑permitting services. A commissioner moved to approve the contract and to authorize the planner to sign; the board voted by voice and the chair said, “Motion carries.”

Staff also presented an amendment package to add periodic planning updates, a climate element grant and to fund permitting work associated with dredging near the Main Street Bridge. Staff warned that dredging and permitting are multi‑year efforts and that biological and resource agencies remain engaged; planning staff estimated permitting and implementation would likely take several years.

The board closed a public hearing on the budget amendments and approved the resolution by voice vote.
