Trinity United Methodist Church steering-committee members told the Clallam County Homelessness Task Force they are readying a safe-parking pilot to provide temporary, supervised parking and basic services for people living in vehicles. The church’s program will start at a temporary, paved site with three parking slots available immediately; the permanent site will open with five slots and room to expand if approved by the church, organizers said. Guests will be admitted from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., may stay for up to three months with a possible three-month extension, and must be referred and screened by one of three partner agencies.
