Mariposa County supervisors voted to adopt a resolution setting fees for County Service Area 1M (Lake Don Pedro) for the 2025–26 fiscal year and authorized placing the fees on the property tax roll. Administrative Analyst Robert Stark told the board that the CSA 1M fees are being reduced from the prior year: developed lots will be charged $60 (down from $80) and undeveloped lots $12 (down from $16). Stark attributed the reduction in part to a change in the countys contractual arrangements and a shortening of an Amador contract; county staff said fewer county-funded staffing costs were required this fiscal year because some station staffing (captain positions) became CalFire expenses. Supervisor Poe asked why fees declined despite rising CalFire costs; staff explained that staffing patterns and a 33% reduction in a particular Amador-related amount led to lower county-assessed fees for CSA 1M this year. The board adopted the resolution 4-0; Supervisor Menatree was excused.
