House approves training, signage requirements for lodging staff to spot human trafficking

The Massachusetts House voted to pass H.4360, an act requiring human trafficking recognition training for certain hospitality workers, ordering the bill to be engrossed after the passage vote recorded as 158-0.
Supporters said the measure will equip hotel and motel staff with tools to identify and report signs of trafficking. "This will give employees of lodging establishments the tools they need to recognize folks that are either engaging in human trafficking or victims thereof," said Mister Cahill of Lynn, a state representative who spoke in favor of the bill.
