The Salina USD 305 Board of Education twice convened brief executive sessions July 15 to discuss matters relating to actions that could adversely or favorably affect a person as a student. The motions stated that discussing the matters in public might invade the privacy of persons discussed.
The first executive session began at about 6:05 p.m. for approximately 10 minutes; the board reconvened and later returned to executive session again at about 6:18 p.m. for another approximately 10-minute session. After reconvening in open session the board stated there was no further action to take publicly that evening.
No student names, disciplinary details or outcomes were disclosed in open session, and the board adjourned after the reconvened open session without additional public action.
