Board OKs first-year purchase of musical instruments under three-year replacement plan ($54,833.99)

The USD 443 Board of Education on June 23 approved the first-year purchase of replacement musical instruments under a previously authorized three-year plan, with the itemized purchase totaling $54,833.99.

District staff said bids were solicited and the purchases are divided across percussion, strings and wind instruments as part of ongoing equipment replacement for school music programs.

Hammer Russell presented the item and said the board had previously approved the three-year budget approach; this vote authorized the first-year purchases. The motion carried 6-0, recorded on the transcript as moved by Ryan Osmos and seconded by Jamie.

No further budget adjustments or financing concerns were raised during the discussion; staff said this follows the district’s previously approved multi-year plan.
