Shaw said staff will prepare a proposed rule change for the county’s historic‑preservation program in response to a recent work decision regarding church eligibility; he did not provide the text of that proposed rule or the decision’s citation at the work session.
Shaw said reappointment of the committee occurred at the reorganization meeting and that staff will continue meeting in 2025 to refine recommendations. He cautioned that he did not want to “get ahead” of staff work but said a recommendation is expected in time for any ballot planning.
