Commissioners approve purchase of 10x20 storage shed for prosecuting attorney records

Public works Director Daryl Johnson explained the county had budgeted funds for a storage container but city rules prevented shipping containers within city limits. The county located a permitted shed option and proposed using the funds earmarked for the container to buy a 10-by-20 shed for record storage for the prosecuting attorney.
A motion to purchase a 10x20 Mohickory shed for prosecuting-attorney record storage was moved and seconded; the approved motion included line-item references for expenditure and the board voted unanimously in favor.
Ending: The clerk will process the purchase order and the public works department and the prosecutor’s office will coordinate site placement and record-movement logistics.
