Commissioners award human service center restroom contract to low bidder Crown Commercial

The Medina County Board of Commissioners awarded a $227,217 contract to Crown Commercial Construction for the human service center restroom renovation.

County Administrator Matt Springard said the bid from Crown Commercial was the lowest and most responsive. "We opened these bids last week and Crown Commercial Construction was the lowest and most responsive at a price of $227,217," Springard said.

Springard told the commissioners that meetings with Crown Commercial will begin next week and staff hope to start the work in early September. He said the project will be funded within the senior adult services budget and described it as an in-budget renovation.

The commission voted to approve the award during the meeting; the vote was recorded in a roll call with commissioners voting yes. The administration will coordinate a project timeline with the contractor and county maintenance staff. Senior adult services director Laura Toth later confirmed the restroom upgrade at the Medina Center will proceed with contractor meetings scheduled.
