COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. โ At a meeting Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Cochise County Flood Control District approved consent agenda items 1 and 2 by a 2-0 vote, with District 1 Supervisor Crosby absent.
The vote followed a roll call held in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room on Melody Lane. Supervisor Gomez, who moved approval, said, "move that we approve consent items 1 and 2." Another supervisor seconded the motion. The board recorded two votes in favor and noted one absence; the motion passed.
The meeting notice said members of the public could attend via Microsoft Teams and that speakers wishing to address agenda items must return a speaker request form to the clerk by 9 a.m. on the day of the meeting. During roll call the board recorded District 2 Supervisor Gomez and District 3 Supervisor Antonory as present and District 1 Supervisor Crosby as absent.
Before adjourning, the board indicated that the next scheduled meeting will be the jail district meeting, which will include approval of minutes and demands and consideration of the budget for a new jail project. The board then adjourned the Flood Control District meeting.
The session included routine procedural business; no ordinances, appointments or other formal actions beyond the consent vote were recorded in the meeting transcript provided.
