City staff said Starbucks had a signed purchase agreement and that the first amendment previously extended the timeline by several months while the buyer completed site plan revisions with city planning. Staff recommended a second three-month extension to allow Starbucks to finish outstanding site-plan work; the buyer’s requested new closing date was Dec. 1, 2025.
Commissioner Kubacki moved to approve the second amendment; Commissioner Mosley Shelton seconded. The measure passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
Staff stated they were comfortable with the extension. No additional financial terms or changes to the purchase price were discussed in the meeting record.
