The Board of Regents Fiscal Affairs and Audit Standing Committee voted June 11 to recommend that the full Board approve the university tuition and fee proposals as laid out in the board materials.
The recommendation came by motion from Regent Rolfe, seconded by Regent Winter; the committee adopted the measure by voice vote with no members recorded as opposed. The committee chair said there were no amendments or follow-up items to the meeting minutes and asked whether there were any changes to the tuition or fee proposals; none were offered before the motion to recommend.
Committee members and staff thanked campus chief financial officers and campus leadership for coordinating closely with student bodies on the proposals. The chair told members the recommendation would advance for the full Board’s second reading and vote later the same day.
No dollar amounts or itemized fee changes were read into the record at the committee meeting; the motion as recorded asked the Board to approve “the tuition increases and fee increases as laid out” in the agenda materials. The committee did not amend the proposal and did not direct additional study prior to the full Board vote.
The full Board will consider the second reading and a final vote on the tuition and fee proposals later on June 11.
