Key items approved included an intergovernmental agreement with the cities of Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge for municipal election services; the purchase of a 2024 Ford F‑250 Super Duty crew cab for $51,700 from Akins Ford; a pre‑engineered building contract for $392,955.43; and the expenditure of $95,000 in drug abuse treatment and education funds to operate the Henry County Misdemeanor DUI Drug Accountability Court.
The board approved a right‑of‑way acquisition authorization under OCGA §32‑3‑4 through §32‑3‑19 for a parcel related to Rabbit Run Road bridge work; a renewal of the L3 Harris radio system maintenance agreement for $637,222.80 for fiscal year 2025‑26; and awards for debris removal and debris monitoring services under unit price agreements.
Other consent items included parks and recreation donations and a groundskeeping annual contract for $129,000; approval of fire uniform purchases not to exceed $400,000; a 36‑month contract to support fire department body‑worn cameras with first‑year funding of $80,823.68 charged to the police small equipment account; and a 36‑month contract for police body‑worn cameras totaling $1,057,281.43. The board also approved a detention pond retrofit contract for North Mount Carmel Park for $298,461 using stormwater enterprise funds.
County Manager Sherry Matthews presented the consent agenda. A motion to approve was moved and seconded; the chair called the question and announced that the motion carried.
