Committee hears cyber-insurance and room audio updates; decision on sound system delayed

Committee members referenced an emailed update from Susie Warner that noted a loss ratio that appeared higher than last month; staff said the committee’s role was to monitor the trend.
Separately, members raised the meeting room’s audio and microphone system. Committee chair (name not provided) said the room’s sound quality is an issue for attendees and that the management committee had hoped to get more information from Jeff Basner, the person who helped develop or install the system. Basner was not present; Adam, who represents area-wide services, said he was not directly involved in the original installation and suggested Basner be invited to the next meeting.
The committee decided to wait one month for Basner or a staffer with knowledge of the microphones, speakers and audio design to answer technical questions before approving the sound system. No formal procurement action or vote occurred at the meeting.
Committee members asked staff to follow up with Basner and to bring technical answers and cost information to the next meeting so the committee could consider formal approval.
