The council recorded a unanimous vote in favor of the bill on the floor; roll call showed seven votes in favor and none opposed.
Strauss said the bill is one of two measures that together form the midyear budget consideration and urged a yes vote. The ordinance delegates authority to the mayor’s office to execute the corresponding agreements and to expend the funds for the programs identified in the grant package; the legislation itself did not enumerate the individual grants during floor discussion.
The chair signed the bill after passage and the clerk affixed the pro tem’s signature as recorded in the council minutes.
