Dr. Saint John said the contract "would just help us navigate some waters with respect to the bond issue and doing due diligence and making the best decisions with our building projects now and also those on the horizon." The board member who asked how the new agreement compared to the previous one was told the contract is "virtually the same" as the prior contract, which expired June 30. The new agreement is retroactive to July 1 and extends through June 30, 2026; it provides for up to two days of service per week, though usage may vary week to week.
A motion to approve the agreement was moved and seconded, and the board voted in favor. The board did not discuss changes to the contract terms at the meeting beyond the retroactive start date, duration and the two-day-per-week staffing expectation.
The contract is intended to support district staff as they implement bond-funded projects; Dr. Saint John said staff expect some weeks will require more consultant time and others less. The board did not attach additional directives to the approval during the meeting.
