County financial services staff said switching to biweekly payments (26 pay periods per year) will align board pay with the payroll cycle used for county employees, reduce manual payroll entries, and allow commissioners to know pay dates that include months with a third pay period.
Staff said financial services will test the change in August and implement it in September if testing is successful. A commissioner moved and seconded the change and the clerk recorded a vote without a roll-call tally in the public transcript.
