Moorhead Business Association outlines upcoming events, food‑drive 'Food Fight'

Stacia Sysma, executive director of the Moorhead Business Association, addressed the Moorhead Economic Development Authority during the public comment portion of the meeting to report recent and upcoming association activities.
Sysma said the association’s recent business expo featured 28 businesses and thanked Courtyard by Marriott for sponsoring the venue. She described an upcoming business food drive called “Food Fight” in honor of Devlin Brooks’ first anniversary at Churches United; participating businesses will be drop‑off locations for nonperishable food items due by Aug. 12, with a winner revealed at Swing Barrel on Aug. 14 at 4 p.m.
She also invited attendees to the MBA’s regular meeting, Let’s Talk Business, held Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Moorhead American Legion, and announced a nonprofit networking breakfast on Aug. 21 at 7:30 a.m. with Habitat for Humanity speaking at Village Inn. “As always, thank you for supporting the MBA,” she said.
The EDA did not take action on the announcements; commissioners had no questions during the comment period.
